Our Process
A Modern Approach to Labor Provision
Ethos' approach to providing union labor is relationship driven. From our crews to our clients, we ensure all parties are cared for, fostering an environment of respect for everyone involved. By meeting the needs of the crew and providing superior service to our partners, we develop stronger ties between productions and unions. Starting with pre-production and moving forward, we assess how to best manage labor-driven logistics for your project to ensure ultimate success.

Phase 1: Scope & Estimate
-
Gather and organize information
-
Assign project team specific to production's needs
-
Assess and communicate potential challenges
-
Initial Estimate
This is when we start building relationships with the production team. Working together is a key element of how productions best operate. Each Local Union has its own set of work rules, rates, and benefits. We streamline this into a custom rate sheet per location with relevant work rules so you can understand costs at a glance.
Phase 2 : Analyze & Optimize
-
Vendor alignment
-
Shop and/or site visits
-
Test builds
-
Data point collection and analysis
-
Finalize union and client contracts
-
Refine Estimate
This project analysis phase is when we fine-tune labor-driven logistics. By analyzing practical data gathered through site/shops visits, test builds, or production meetings, we identify potential challenges with labor-related duties and logistics before they occur on site. This allows for diligent assessments of installation time, efficient delegation of the local crew, and better on-site quality control, all of which mitigate potential inefficiencies.

Phase 3 : Secure & Prep
-
Securing crew
-
Finalizing schedules and estimate
-
Shop prep and loading
-
Jobsite logistics prep
Ethos works with IATSE and Theatrical Teamster Unions from coast to coast, maintaining the ability to staff professional labor through unions anywhere in the nation.
When securing local crews, we take steps to ensure we find the right people for each project. Instead of placing a blanket labor order, we utilize our Union and production network to request and employ specific personnel to meet the project's needs.
Phase 4 : Lead & Execute
-
Crew Leadership
-
Collaborative adjustments to crewing, schedule, and work flow with production.
-
Punctual running totals updates
-
Proactive challenge identification and mitigation
Our team will be with you throughout the production, supporting wherever is needed. We strive to make every job site a positive working experience.
